Creating an account
You can create a Check My Solar account in two ways: with your email (passwordless) or with Google or Apple (OAuth).
Sign up with email
Section titled “Sign up with email”- Open checkmy.solar and choose Sign in with email (or equivalent).
- Enter your email address and submit.
- Check your inbox for a magic link (or, on some setups, a short verification code).
- Click the link or enter the code in the app. You’re signed in and your account is created.
No password is stored; each login uses a new link or code. Links typically expire after a short time (e.g. 15 minutes).
Sign up with Google or Apple
Section titled “Sign up with Google or Apple”- On the login screen, choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple.
- Complete the sign-in flow in the browser or popup.
- The app will create or use an existing account linked to that provider.
You can later link the same Check My Solar account to both email and a social provider, and to one or more Fox Cloud accounts or API keys.
After you’re signed in
Section titled “After you’re signed in”- You’ll land on the dashboard. Data will appear only after you link your inverter.
- You can add multiple Fox Cloud accounts or API keys and switch between inverters in the app.
Next step
Section titled “Next step”Linking your inverter — Connect Fox Cloud so the app can show your solar data.
